I have read a few books with heroes who have raped in the past, but this one was the most despicable. It went from the classic it is to something ghe a fluffy little Hqn historical. Poor baby to have to live with that and the poor girl married to her rapist has to find a way to make peace and continue to forge a relationship based on rape! Of course her attraction to him which is always there blossoms.
And there’s something so reactionary about the relationship between Heather and Brandon, given that this book was written and published at the height of kathleeen women’s movement in the early s.
